We offer art and drum workshops across Ashford and can offer bespoke workshops for your group whether it be in school or part of a club, society or community group.

playing with a bass player.
This group workshop will explore the musical relationship between drummers and bass players.
When: Wednesday 7th August, 1800 - 1900.
Where: the drum room, Ashford.
Cost: free to current drum&ink students.
NB: We don’t have a double bass but this is a nice photo!
samba workshop.
This workshop will explore the music of samba, we will look at traditional instruments, patterns and play as a group.
When: Wednesday 14th August, 1800 - 1900.
Where: meet at the drum room and walk over to Kestrel Park to play outside.
Cost: free to current drum&ink students.
djembe workshop.
This workshop will explore djembe playing techniques, we will try a range of patterns and play as a group. Please note two groups based on age.
1700-1800 Under 12s.
1815-1915 12+.
When: Thursday 15th August
Where: meet at the drum room and walk over to Kestrel Park to play outside weather dependent.
Cost: free to current drum&ink students.
school drum/percussion visits.
School visits are available for any age group and are tailored to the desired experience of the group whilst considering EYFS, KS1, KS2 and KS3.
Example packages based on 30 minute workshops (w/s) for 15 children, so 2 consecutive workshops would serve a standard school class. Cost includes provision of instruments, set up time and consultation.

Staff group CPD session focusing on how to run a group percussion/drum band session, one hour, £80.
School visits for “music assembly” or for whole year group experience, with full drum set, samba drums and a selection of percussion with informative and participatory talks and demonstrations, up to one hour session, £80.
